Dear Michael & Bryan,

This is the craziest thing I’ve ever done. I’m sure you probably get weird stalkers, fan mail and fanart all the time and I assure you this isn’t one of them. Unless you count the fact that I’m shooting blindfolded to reach you somehow, weird and deranged, then maybe?

I also want to apologize for the second hand embarrassment you may feel for me (If this, in fact, reaches you through the vast space of the internet). I assure you this sounded better in my head and I will most likely regret it as soon as I hit the ‘post’ button. I’m also sure my friends won’t let me live this down for a while.

That said, here goes something, sweet and simple:

I did not place nearly close to your top 50 fans at Korra Nation. I cannot afford to draw fanwork of your show and for a while I would not be able to attend to any conventions or panels you may potentially be at.
I am a beginning professional doing her best to make her mark and I know that takes sacrifice and diligence. I have the passion to learn and succeed.

I would love it if you gave me the opportunity to work for The Legend of Korra creative team. Whether it may be storyboard artist, background painter, coffee & doughnut runner or retake revisionist- I read you guys may need a little help with that. I just ask for a chance.

You cannot pay me for the first 3 months? Unpaid internship? That’s completely all right with me. I will make ends meet somehow and will work my hardest day in and day out to meet your expectations.

I also make a mean burrito.

All the little details, like how she moves differently, holds her head, her hair, I love her hair.

Can we just talk for a minute about how Azula’s descent into madness is not only brilliantly written and performed, but animated?? Because it is so incredible. 

We learned in psychology and film about microexpressions—facial expressions that are extremely visceral reactions to emotion; nigh uncontrollable. And Azula is so impeccably animated it makes it seem like she has these: from the moment her father betrays her trust and takes flight as the Pheonix King, she’s devastated and desperate to hide it, and that Azula transforms into this Azula—sloppy, unfettered, and incredibly dangerous. There’s this animalistic side to her that is revolting and transfixing all at once—and at the end, I just feel sorry for her. I can’t help it. She literally has nothing left, not even her sanity. 

Reason a million and three this show is the greatest.

Yes. Yesssssss to everything. Azula’s change was amazing and done so so well. 

The animation of her insanity makes me melt ok
